The Sufis Competition

Nashville's shit-hot psychedelic revivalists The Sufis had a pretty fab year in 2012.
Their debut caught a number of ears (mine included; I reviewed the album very favourably on this very site here, as well as singing their praises in Shindig, before including it in my top ten albums of the year).
And just quietly, 2013 is looking pretty good too. Rolling Stone's David Fricke wrote enthusiastically about them here , Calvin and Evan have collaborated on an excellent 45 with Paul Messis here, and the debut LP has sold out of it's initial vinyl print run, and had to be reprinted.

To celebrate this Ample Play and the Active Listener have a copy of the Sufis LP from the second print run to give away to a lucky reader.

All you need to do is : visit the Active Listener facebook page here , then under THE SUFIS COMPETITION post hit us with your best made up psychedelic band name and tell all your friends to visit and like your choice.

Whoever has the most likes by next Saturday wins, easy as that.

For the discerning listener who wants it now you can buy direct from the label here.

And if you're wondering what all the fuss is about have a listen to "Wake Up" here :
